Everyone wants a purpose in life. The purpose could be not to have a purpose in life as well. So this is an attempt to find a purpose in our lives.
As profound as it sounds, this blog is to share with people about our love for food, travel and talk! It might not be very sophisticated but its a simple attempt.
I always liked rituals. Like the ones you see in American sitcoms or movies, where in the story, the characters have a weekly ritual. Friends, families, business partners, etc., meet up once a week or monthly or yearly to catch up, discuss things, exchange news or knowledge. A ritual which is never broken. It's something which is constant in one's life come what may. I always wanted to be part of such a ritual.
Hence, came Foodie Thursdays! A ritual I, Melaan, share with my friend and colleague, VidC and hope to see these Thursdays actually become a special ritual.
But this is not only about me wanting a ritual. It's also about tasting food, visiting different restaurants and seeing different cultures. Before we think foreign cultures and stuff, let me mention that we are starting out our journey in Madhapur.
A small area in Hyderabad, Madhapur (which for convenience sake includes Hi-tech city and Kondapur), is in the IT hub of Hyderabad. An IT hub calls for a boom of IT companies and also a bigger boom of restaurants. It could be started by a small time cook feeding the very many hostelites or by a fancy ex-IT or present IT guy sharing his love for food.
So here's to a wonderful journey of food with Melaan, VidC and Rash (my bike which facilitates the journey).
Until Thursday! Bon Apetit!
