Mist n Creams - HYD

Have you ever seen ice cream being made from scratch right in front of your eyes? Here's a picto-tour, thanks to the amazing Patro!:

Mist n Creams, artisan ice cream on the Bangalore-Hyderabad highway is as interesting as it sounds!

It starts with a stand-in mixer with the bowl containing fresh cream, sugar, and the flavour of your choice. I asked for a salted peanut flavour with bits of roasted salted peanuts.

Then you pour the magic into the bowl while the mixer churns the ice cream mixture.

And the magic begins! The liquid nitrogen that is poured into the bowl starts evaporating into beautiful cloudlike mist! It's cool, making you go oooh! and excited about the resulting ice cream!

The magical mist spreads...

...makes the whole counter look the store is an outdoor hill station ice cream parlour surrounded by fog!

Then you scrape out the ice cream from the whisk...

And you get this rich, creamy, peanuty ice cream! Since this ice cream is made fresh with liquid nitrogen, it has the least amount of ice crystals that one usually finds in store-bought ice creams. Lesser the ice crystals, creamier the ice cream!

They have various flavours you can try. They also serve milkshakes.

We tried four flavours. The chocolate sauce wasn't the best but we liked the salted peanut ice cream and chocolate with hazelnut ice cream, which essentially tasted like ferrero rocher.

Mist n Creams is located in a popular drive-in location, the Hill Park drive-in restaurant on the Bangalore-Hyderabad highway. It opens at 10.30AM till midnight. So, ever want to get away from the hustle-bustle of Hyderabad and end a fun drive with good ice cream, this is the place for you!

PS: They also have a branch on Road 12, Banjara Hills (map link below)

    1. Definitely! My friends also want to visit this place soon. I would also like to learn more about the machines you have to pour the liquid nitrogen. It'll be great if someone from your store can tell us more about the ice cream making process.
